We can print your own print ready file on a Big Check! This product if for anyone that has a fully designed file that is ready for printing.

NOTE: Our Big Checks are not printed exact to size. The final size of the check is reduced to accommodate the box sizes and shipping costs.

NOTE: If your design is created at the full size then we will reduce it to the final size on our end to accommodate the box sizes.

Board Material Options:

Economy Board

Economy board is a lightweight material that is popular because of its low cost and durability. It does not dent easily and is waterproof, unlike a foam board material. It is a corrugated plastic that has hollow grooves that run down the center of the material, is very light weight.

PVC Board

PVC board is made from 1/8” thick PVC plastic material. It’s a semi-solid rigid board with a smooth surface. It works very well for pictures because it will stay flat when presenting your Large Check. The smooth surface of the material makes the check look clean and professional.

Enviroboard

Enviroboard is a lightweight material that is 100% recyclable. It’s 1/8” with a smooth finish. Once you are done with your Big Check you can recycle it with your cardboard items. This material is not waterproof and it will become soggy if wet.

Foam Board

Foam board is a lightweight material that is popular because of its low cost, lightweight and easily transported. Foam board poster material is rigid and is an excellent visual aid for your Big Check because of the smooth surface and low glare. All our foam board checks are printed direct to material using in full color UV inks for a vivid print.

Dry Erase Lamination

Dry Erase enables you to re-use your Big Check over and over. The optional Dry Erase lamination can be added to any Economy or PVC check. The lamination is applied over the printed graphic to the entire surface of the novelty check. With the entire board covered in the lamination, you can write anywhere on it, wipe it off and reuse. Use dry erase, wet erase, or liquid chalk makers on your Dry Erase Check, be sure to wipe off any marker on your Big Check before you store it away. In our experience if maker is left on the lamination for long periods of time it tends to stain the lamination.

Hinged and Folded for Shipping

Shipping costs were too high for a 30" x 60" and 47" x 94" sized checks, so we started cutting the check halfway through on the backside to allow it to fold. We supply two pieces of white tape to apply to the back of your giant check in order to keep it open. Generally shipping costs on a non-folded check that size starts around $125.00, so by folding the shipping costs are reduced dramatically.

Production Time

We can print and ship most Big Check orders same business day, as long as your order is in and proof is approved by 2pm EST. If the order is in or the proof is approved after 2pm EST it will most likely print and ship out the next business day.

Our Big Checks are not printed exact to size. The final size of the check is reduced to accommodate the box sizes and shipping costs.

Design layout should be at full size or a proportional size:

• 12" x 24" Check: 11" high x 22" wide
• 16" x 32" Check: 16" high x 32" wide
• 18" x 36" Check: 17.5" high x 35" wide
• 22" x 48" Check: 23.25" high x 46.5" wide
• 30" x 60" Check: 29.5" high x 59" wide
• 47" x 94" Check: 46.5" high x 93" wide

*Bleeds are not required on your print ready files, if you have bleeds it's ok too.

• If you submit a file that is not print ready according to our specifications our graphics team may have to ask you to adjust the artwork and re-submit, which can delay the processing of your order.

Proofing Options: When your order comes in our professional graphics team looks over your artwork to ensure everything looks good before it goes to print. You have the option to receive a proof or to not receive a proof.

Yes, send me a proof before printing: You will receive a digital proof sent to your email.

• Our graphics team will send you an email with a digital proof. Simply click on the link in the email. Review any messages and “Approve” or “Reject” the proof.
• All proofs must be approved before printing can begin.
• If you approve of the proof by 2pm EST on business days your order will print and ship the same day.

No proof needed, please print and ship: You will NOT get a digital proof and your order will be sent right to print. 

• Your order will go right into production, and you will not receive a proof email.
• *Note: If our team has a concern with the artwork/order and you chose no proof, they will still try to reach out to you asap to notify you of any concerns.

Placing your Big Check Order

Order is placed: We will email you an order confirmation and your customer representative will be in touch during normal business hours.

• All proofs will need to be approved by you before printing

Printing

• Once approved the order will move to production where printing will start

Boxing

• When printing is complete your order will be boxed up and prepared for shipping

Shipped

• Your order will be picked up by FedEx at the end of the business day. We ship Monday - Friday, with the exception of holidays.

Tracking

• When your order is scanned in by Fedex you will receive an email from us with the tracking and expected delivery date.

The Presentation

This check is typically used for 1–4 person presentation. Remember to use highly lit places to make sure everybody's face can be seen in the photo. If you will be sending your picture into the newspaper or an online blog, then be sure to include a caption that they can use including people's names (if given permission) and a reason for the giving of the check.

Can you cash this check?

If you put a real routing number on this check, as well as a legal signature, then it can be taken to a bank and they should be able to cash the check. Since the purpose of this check is to get publicity while making a donation, we recommend you present a regular check along with the large check so you are not broadcasting your routing numbers. We have also seen our large checks be used as funny gifts to friends, gifts for loved ones, wedding anniversaries, graduations, and birthdays.
